Competition Terms & Conditions

Win a GPS unit (the "Competition") is run by Land Information New Zealand. By entering the Competition, entrants are deemed to accept these terms and conditions.

Competition dates:

The competition runs between Wednesday 23 September 2009 and Monday 7 December 2009 inclusive. Competition entries must be received before midnight on 7 December to be eligible for the draw. Winners will be contacted by email or phone by Wednesday 9 December.

Conditions related to prizes:

The prize is not-redeemable for cash.

Draw dates and venue:

The draw will be made after 10am on Wednesday 9 December 2009. The draw will be made at the Land Information New Zealand office at 160 Lambton Quay, Wellington, New Zealand. If a winner can not be contacted on the details given within 2 weeks of the draw Land Information New Zealand has the right to redraw the prize.

Eligibility:

  • Employees and retailers of or contractors to Land Information New Zealand may not enter this competition.
  • Employees and contractors of competition partners and their immediate families are not eligible to enter.
  • Entries are limited to one entry per person.
  • Entrants must be New Zealand residents and 18 years of age as of Wednesday, 23 September 2009.
  • Land Information New Zealand reserves the right in its sole discretion to reject bulk entries which it considers to have been generated using software to generate multiple entries.

Use of entries and personal information:

By entering the Competition, winners agree to their name being published, and to be photographed and/or interviewed by Land Information New Zealand and that Land Information New Zealand or promotional partners may use their names and photographs and/or interviews for publicity purposes.

Competition entries become the property of Land Information New Zealand which will  endeavour to keep the information it holds about entrants confidential  and subject to any legal obligations, will not disclose it to third parties.

Competition Liability

Land Information New Zealand, Geosystems Garmin (or any other company or individual associated with the Competition) shall  not be responsible for or liable in respect of:

  • any additional costs to the winners associated with the prizes; or
  • any loss or damage whatsoever that is suffered (including but not limited to indirect or consequential loss) or for personal injury suffered or sustained in connection with the Competition.
